- Prebon Marshall Yamane announced today that they have successfully
signed a MOGAS team to join their Energy division from TFS,
signalling their move back into the European oil markets and
underlining their commitment to the energy sector.
The team of five brokers (Marc Thompson, Giles
Reynolds, Mark Skrypec, Rosanne Sergeant and David Seamark)
are joined by oil market veteran Andrew Walker, who will be
working on business development opportunities in oil products.
Four of the team are re-joining the company they left 18 months
ago.
Andrew Polydor, European MD of Prebon Energy,
states “We are delighted that this team has decided
to join us to spearhead our re-entry into the oil market.
They have recognised our long-term commitment to the Energy
sector and are excited by our plans to build the business
in conjunction with our successful Asian oil products group.
Oil products should be what underpins our Energy division
and we will be taking further steps to implement this strategy,
with the aim of becoming a significant European player in
the next 12-24 months.”
Tony Verrier, CEO London, Prebon Marshall
Yamane, adds “This is yet another example of our confidence
in, and commitment to, the Energy sector. We have stayed with
it during the recent difficulties and are now making, and
will continue to make, investments to build our presence because
we believe in the long-term prospects for growth and profitability.”
